History
Established in 2003.
In Ballard since 2006. After years of teaching for others, Steve Laskevitch and Carla Fraga founded Luminous Works to offer a luxurious environment for those learning creative software, photography, and desktop publishing. We focus on content-rich classes with generous follow-up support for the inevitable questions that come up after the class is over. Soon, we were regularly listed amongst the top 5 Adobe Authorized Training Centers in the world. Over the years, we’ve helped major corporations like Boeing, Adobe Systems, Microsoft, The Seattle Times, REI, Macy’s and Nordstrom; hundreds of professional and amateur photographers; major graphic design firms and studios of one; all-around creative companies; educational institutions like the University of Washington, community colleges and school districts throughout the Northwest; and individual billionaires, millionaires, and starving artists from around the world. We’d like to share our future with you.
