Established in 2020.
How did Retex’s founder and CEO Josh Lewis get into the roofing industry? He explains: “In 2014, I graduated from Florida State University and accepted a job with a big construction company in Washington, D.C. But after six months, I had an itch I couldn’t shake and decided to strike out on my own as a general contractor. “Around the end of 2015, a client of mine needed a new roof and asked me to manage the work while he was out of town for work. I called 19 different roofing companies: 6 answered, 4 showed up, and only 3 bothered to send me a quote. Of those three, the prices ranged from $6,800 to $21,000. After trying my best as a contractor and an engineering graduate to understand the price range, I realized this segment of the construction industry needed help. “From that day forward, we’ve focused our efforts on helping our customers with their home exteriors by being on time, providing exterior education, and delivering the best-quality product for a reasonable price.”

Hi! We’re Josh and Katelyn Lewis, and we started Retex because we wanted to create a home exterior company that provides customer care above and beyond the actual service.
Contractors, especially in the home exterior world, have a bad rap of not showing up, not communicating well, and sending estimates with little to no explanation of what’s going into the price or the quality of the materials. We wanted to be a rung above that, so we’ve created a company that sets a date and time for your appointment, calls when we’re on our way, and shows up on time. We aim to send estimates within 24 hours, if not sooner, and we communicate with you throughout the discussion and project installation phases to ensure you’re happy with our services.
Retex brings a modern twist to a traditional industry, with a focus on educating homeowners about one of their most valuable assets: their homes.
